Reading the Bible can be a complex, intimidating feat... let's do it together!
Every Thursday this semester, from January 19-April 27, at 3:30PM in CAS 308, you're invited to sit with us and read the Gospels.
Whether you have never opened a Bible before, or read it every day, all are welcome to sit, listen, participate, read, and reflect! This Bible Study is hosted by Catholic Campus Ministry and provides a Catholic perspective to the Gospels- however, you do not have to be Catholic or even Christian to learn or listen in. We start each week with an intro on how to read or use the Bible for those who are not familiar.
Campus Ministry provides the Bibles as well as food/snacks each week to enjoy. Come for a few minutes, or stay for the full hour- whatever you are comfortable with! Your level of participation is up to you.
Here's what you can expect from our Catholic Bible Study:
-Opening prayer & Closing prayer
-Reading select passages from the Gospels in the New Testament out loud, then silently to ourselves
-Discussing our thoughts, ideas, and prompted questions
-Different snacks or meal each week
-When weather permitting, sitting outside or shifting location after the study began
-Fellowship with each other and sense of community
For our LAST BIBLE STUDY OF THE SEMESTER: We will be enjoying some Panera Lunch. Place your order by Wednesday, April 26 at 3PM and rsvp for Lunch with Lucia.
