The Giving Tree Collection Drive

Catholic Campus Ministry's Giving Tree Collection Drive is here!

This tabling event is located in the Library Lobby.

What is the Giving Tree?

The Giving Tree looks just like a Christmas Tree, but instead of ornaments, has ornament "tags" that have suggested items that our Kean University Cougar Pantry is in need of. All students, faculty, staff, Greek orgs, or student groups are welcome to take the tag ornaments off of the Giving Tree. These tags serve as physical reminders of the donation item or items that you are planning to bring in for the Cougar Pantry. This collection drive will have tabling throughout campus through the end of the semester on various days. We will also have some candy and freebies for anyone who takes a tag!

What items can we donate?

The Giving Tree collection will accept all kinds of donations, including food donations, but we are specifically looking to support the Cougar Pantry with the below list of cleaning products, paper products, and toiletries:

Shampoo - conditioner - hair ties & brushes - products for all hair types - toothpaste & toothbrushes - tampons & pads - lotions - soaps & body wash - deodorant - cleaning products - sanitizer - disinfecting wipes - razors & shaving cream - toilet paper & paper towels - and more!

Where can items be dropped off?

Any items collected can be brought to the Cougar Pantry in Downs Hall or the Wellness Center directly, the collection bin in East Campus 218, or brought to any Catholic Campus Ministry event and handed to Campus Minister Lucia. All of the Giving Tree tabling events will also have a donation bin!

If you have any questions about the Giving Tree Collection Drive, you can contact Catholic Campus Minister Lucia at lpasternak@kean.edu .
