Catholic Campus Ministry welcomes you to Lent!
Ash Wednesday is the first day of the Season of Lent. This day marks the start to a season of reflection, fasting, prayer and penance which prepares us for Christ's death, then resurrection on Easter.
Campus Ministry will be holding two formal Ash Distribution Services on campus: in room 228 of the Miron Student Center at 12:00PM noon and 3:30PM.
These Services will be led by Chaplain Father Bill Sheridan. In between services, there is a dedicated time to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation (Confession) with Father Bill from 2:00-3:00PM in MSC 228.
Those who cannot attend either of the daytime Ash Services but want to receive ashes can individually walk into the Campus Ministry Office, in East Campus 218, to receive ashes informally from Campus Minister Lucia between 5:00-7:00PM. However, we highly encourage attending the daytime Ash Services if you are able, in order to interact with the Catholic community on campus, receive our handouts and Lenten books and resources, and more.
Any questions regarding Ash Wednesday, or what Campus Ministry is doing for Lent, can be directed to Campus Minister Lucia at lpasternak@kean.edu. You can also stay up to date on our events and services by following us @KeanCatholics on Instagram.
